New Hublot Designer Watches with Tobacco Leaves

In 2012, Hublot and Arturo Fuente joined forces to honor the leading manufacturer of cigars on his centenary. On this occasion, the famous luxury watch brand introduced a limited edition King Power Arturo Fuente model dedicated to the popular series of cigars, Fuente Fuente OpusX by Arturo Fuente. Two years after the widespread success of this designer watch, Hublot celebrates the release of its new ForbiddenX model at the international level in Dubai. As the name implies, this timepiece pays tribute to the famous label - Fuente Fuente ForbiddenX, a cigar set, which includes a secret mix of seven distinctive varieties of tobacco.

As well as the fact that Fuente Fuente ForbiddenX cigars are quite extraordinary and designed for the most solemn occasions, the Arturo Classic Fusion Fuente ForbiddenX model by Hublot also has four exclusive versions released in a limited edition. The most intriguing aspect is that the dials of these Swiss watches are made with the use of real tobacco leaves - the same that are used to create prestigious ForbiddenX cigars by Arturo Fuente. The leaves grown on the Fuente plantation in Santo Domingo were transported to the Hublot manufactory in Switzerland, where in-house engineers made them more stable and rigid with the use of epoxies.

The case of the Arturo Fuente Classic Fusion ForbiddenX designer watch measures 45 mm in diameter. It is made of titanium (250 pieces), 18 karat pink gold (150 pieces) or black ceramic (250 pieces) - each model is presented with brown elements, which have a good look with the natural color of tobacco leaves on the dial. All luxury watches are topped with a brown ceramic bezel. Moreover, the model with tourbillon has an additional luxurious visual effect. But what really makes such a timepiece beautiful is its in-house HUB6011 movement, which can be seen through the tobacco leaves forming the dial. This mechanism is composed of 115 parts and 19 jewels and guarantees approximately 5 days of power reserve. The Classic Fusion ForbiddenX Tourbillon model is available only in 30 copies, and its case back has an exclusive illustration designed and made by Manny Iriarte.

Each of the Classic Fusion ForbiddenX timepieces is powered by an automatic HUB 1143 caliber with chronograph function, which combines 280 parts and 59 jewels. As well as a version with tourbillon, these chronograph watches with two sub-dials have the ForbiddenX logo at the 6 o'clock position, but at the same time they are distinguished by black counters and a bright red chronograph hand. The case back of such a model shows an exclusive illustration of Arturo Fuente family members in one of their rich tobacco plantations. These high-end watches come with a tobacco-brown calfskin strap. Like its predecessor, this new Hublot model is also supplied in a luxury box with dimensions of two wooden cigar boxes.
